Why Economic Factors Are Mostly Irrelevant to The Growth of a Massage Business:

Regardless of where you are and what town or city you live in, there will be people who always want massage therapy, and, there will always be people who don’t.

I get asked, a fair bit, what do to if there is a down turn in the economy and how to fix a floundering massage practice due to these reasons. Well I can tell you with or without a booming economy your massage therapy marketing is what brings clients in.

The best thing to do if you feel the economy is affecting your massage business is two things. The first thing is not to focus on the problem but rather use it as an advantage to let your mind create answers and advantages to the situation. Be as positive as you can and keep going. Never give up.

I’ve never, ever, ever worried about an economy problem before and I’ve been the busiest massage therapist I’ve ever known. That’s not to put tickets on myself but seriously I’ve focused on my marketing and bringing clients rather than filling my head with outside factors.

You’ll find that therapists who are inundated with clients tend to be this way regardless of economic factors. Why? Because they focus on marketing their practices and focus on serving clients rather than worrying about the economy.

The second thing to do is develop sound, solid marketing campaigns to help you feel worried or anxious about client numbers dwindling every time your political leader opens his mouth. Its certainly good to be aware of outside factors, but you’ll find that clients who have massage will probably have massage no matter what the economy is doing.

To keep clients coming to you no matter what the economy is your marketing is the key. You need to be aware of how well you are servicing your clients and how well your massage practice comes across to the outside world. This is called your professional image. To be successful all year round, its imperative that you are polishing and buffing your image and your marketing to keep constantly attracting people to you.

Honestly, don’t worry about the economy. It will not have a long term impact on your massage business if you are marketing yourself well and targeting your market effectively. Instead fill your mind with positive ways to attract new business to you all the time.
